Quote 19 – Dr. Seuss
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.
Transformation Made Simple
For the past week I have eaten everything that is not on the list of healthy. So when I seen this cheddar cheese jalapeño bagel it just called out my name. If that wasn't enough I added more than the two tablespoons of vegetable cream cheese. Let's not stop there pile some roasted turkey and wash it down with a ginger ale. Did I tell you this was breakfast and since I brought two bagels I repeated the same thing for lunch. Can we all agree the diet starts Monday.
BTW it was a savings I got the bagel for 70 cents at the bakery at Mariano's.

Accountability Tip 64 – The Why behind Letting Go
Last week we talked about letting go of expectation. This week we want to talk about why.
What happens when you feel that your expectations are valid?
You only can control you. You cannot take away another persons free will.
Letting go of expectation will empower you, if you let it. It takes the emphasis off of others and their actions and put it squarely on you. So often our actions are based on what we think, feel or want from someone else. We should base our actions on having done the work then stand in faith for the outcome. Have you ever heard yourself soliciting a prayer to have someone else change or do something? It is easy for us to forget, everyone deserves and should have freewill. We do not have the power; to change others, we only can change ourselves.
This was brought home to me in a conversation with my best friend about her renter who was no longer living up to the rental agreement. In fact it appeared he was no longer a blessing but rather a destructive distraction taking her away from her dreams and goals for her property. This led us into the conversation of letting go of expectation even when they appear legitimate. The one person she could control was herself. We decided to pray that she would have the strength and financial support she needed to walk in her authority of ownership. Her expectation of how and when the renter left and his view of her character as she carried out her rights had to be put aside. It was determined that it was no longer okay for her to be taken advantage of under the guise of being a good “Christian.” Maybe this situation entered her life for her to learn to stand up for herself. It could be that she was no longer responsible for other people’s garbage and weaknesses and she no longer had to accept that expectation to be a good person. By focusing on herself and not the renter left her feeling strengthened and empowered.
It is not always up to us how we are to learn our life lessons. Situations and circumstances come along to help us on our journey if we recognize them as such. Just because something does not feel good does not mean it is not good for you. Live and learn from the good and bad. This will empower you as you begin to make choices and decisions that are not being manipulated by expectation. This will help you at home, on your job and in your life in general. You will no longer live in resistance but in harmony with life’s lessons.
See you next week. Much love, many blessings…Sheila!!!
