Spaghetti Meat Sauce

Spaghetti Meat Sauce

  • 2 lb. Ground Chuck
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped green peppers
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (1-lb.) cans tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (12-oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 Tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 dried oregano leaves
  • 1 dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

 

  • Break up pieces of meat with a fork and mix together.
  • Combine meat in a slow cooker with remaining ingredients.  Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
  • Serve over hot spaghetti, noodles, or pasta.
