What happen when you stick it out? You are in the 9th inning the game is not over.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9 KJV
How many times have you found yourself tired and ready to give up? I know, I have been in that place more times than not. I have often wanted to give up or throw in the towel right before I would receive my breakthrough. I have experienced the joy of being pregnant and the bliss and agony of losing your body for nine months. The last few months leading up to delivery can seem to take forever, all the steps taken to eat right, nurture and care for the life growing inside you starts to compete with your desire to be free. You know the end is near but fear and doubt about your competency both as a mother and as vehicle to bring this life into the world is in question. You persevere because there is a life and love that propels you forward.
There is also the quest for relationships, education and advancement in our career choices. We work day by day to take steps forward in our pursuit for happiness. The only thing we really have is the hope in our heart, a vision of something better than what we have, a willingness to do the work and faith that despite what we see help is on the way. This will cause us to change our language, it will affect our behavior, it will alter our habits and will spur us to action.
I remember living in Washington State and watching House Hunters on HGTV dreaming about a new home. I was renting at the time and through watching that show the seeds of owning my own home were planted. There was no way at that time I could have ever seen or imagined the final outcome. What I knew was how to pray, meditate and listen. I knew my heart would align with my spirit and ultimately I would achieve my blessing. I was led to set aside my fear and boldly approach a well respected realtor and thus began our house hunting process. Ultimately, we chose to build but the process was long and arduous. The process of securing a mortgage, working with the builder and receiving our keys seemed to take forever and more than once we almost gave up.
I had the privilege of seeing a Disney documentary narrated by Tina Fey called Monkey Kingdom it reminded me of the joy that comes when we stick it out. I implore you this is a “must see.” This movie will encourage, motivate and touch your heart. It has been in theaters for about three weeks. It has a lot of symbolism and shows just what good can come of resilience and perseverance. I don’t want to ruin it for you but I do want to take this opportunity to strongly encourage you to see it and and post your thoughts. I personally will no longer look at my trials or my triumphs the same. I will keep hope alive and well and my faith will not be allowed to falter. This movie has encouraged me to hold out no matter how much the odds appear to be stacked against me.
I began and will end this post with a quote from the Holy Bible that sums up this story for me.
He will make you the head, not the tail you’ll always be on top and never on the bottom–Deuteronomy 28:13 The Voice
Much Love, Many Blessings…Namaste!!!
